1. LEMON  GINGER DETOX WATER 

 

INGREDIENTS:

Lemons, Ginger, 1 tsp of red chilli powder or pepper powder and 1-litre water

DIRECTIONS:

Squeeze two lemons into a water jar, and cut a lemon into wedges. Mince about 1-inch fresh ginger and add 1tsp of red chilli powder. Keep it overnight in the fridge and consume it the next day, you can even add in water to it to restock. This promotes healthy digestion, as it has anti-inflammatory properties,combats nausea and promotes healthy intestinal wellness. And also helps in kick-start digestion while flushing toxins. This will also brighten up your skin.

 

2. TANGY CUCUMBER LEMON DETOX WATER

 

INGREDIENTS:

Cucumber, Lemon, Mint leaves, 1-litre water

DIRECTIONS:

Wash and slice the veggies, place the cucumber and lemon pieces in the water jug/mason jar. Fill the jar with water, add mint leaves, mix them and leave to steep overnight in the fridge. Cucumbers are diuretics and help avoid water retention. While lemons flush out toxins and help in burning fat. It promotes a state of physiological purification and also an extra refreshing drink

 

3. CITRUS ALOE DETOX WATER

 

INGREDIENTS:

Oranges, freshly squeezed lemon juice, fresh aloe vera pulp, mint leaves, 1-litre water

DIRECTIONS:

This may sound weird but it doesn’t mean you can’t consume aloe vera. Place the oranges in the jar and pour in the lemon juice, add in the aloe pulp and pour in water. Add the mint leaves and mix well. If you feel the taste awkward you can add a spoon of honey and keep it in the fridge overnight. Aloe mixed with citrus is an energy boosting drink which heals the body from the inside out.

 

4. POMEGRANATE MINT DETOX WATER

 

INGREDIENTS:

1-litre water,2 tbsp of pomegranate seeds, mint leaves

DIRECTIONS:

Stir in the pomegranate seeds in a jar of water and add in some mint leaves. Steep it overnight. Pomegranate has anti-oxidants and vitamin C. It has anti-inflammatory properties and fiber content.

 

5. APPLE CINNAMON DETOX WATER

 

INGREDIENTS:

1-litre water, 2 medium sliced apples, 2-3 cinnamon sticks

DIRECTIONS:

Cut the apples in slices and place them in the jar, add the cinnamon sticks and fill it up with water. This delicious detox water helps you get in shape and boosts your metabolism.

 

6. WATERMELON DETOX WATER

 

 

INGREDIENTS: 

1-litre water, watermelon, mint leaves

DIRECTIONS:

Place the watermelon pieces in the jar and fill up with water, add in some mint leaves and put it in the fridge for 2-3 hours. This is the best detox water which contains not only a lot of vitamins and minerals but also supports the body to flush toxins.

 

7. COCONUT DETOX WATER

 

INGREDIENTS:

Coconut Water

DIRECTIONS:

Coconut water alone is said to be a good source of electrolytes, so I think even this should be added on the detox water list. You can even add lime or mint leaves to it.

 

8. MELON BALL DETOX WATER

 

INGREDIENTS:

Watermelon, Honeydew melon, Cantaloupe, lemon juice, mint leaves, 1-litre water

DIRECTIONS:

Scoop out some balls from the melons and freeze them for an hour.Fill the jug with water and add in the lemon juice to it. Now add the melon balls and mint leaves. Melon Ball detox water is ready to be served.

 

9. ICED GREEN TEA:

 

 

INGREDIENTS:

1- litre water, Green tea bags, Lemon, Ice cubes, Mint leaves

DIRECTIONS:

Fill the jar with water and dip the green tea bags in water. After the green tea has completely soaked in remove the bags and add in lemon slices. Put in some ice cubes and mint leaves. It is important to note that green tea has detoxifying properties.

 

10. SKIN DETOX WATER

 

INGREDIENTS:

1-litre water,1 lemon, strawberries, apples,1 tsp cinnamon, mint leaves, ice cubes.

DIRECTIONS:

Slice all the fruits and place in the jar, fill it with water add the mint leaves, cinnamon and ice cubes. Steep it in the fridge for overnight. It helps in achieving a natural glow. It acts as an anti-oxidant and also neutralizes cell damage. It cleanses and softens the skin. Also helps in preventing acne.

 

HOW DOES DETOX WATER WORK?  

Depends on what you put in your detox water. For every recipe we are using the common ingredient lemon and mint. Every ingredient has its own properties while lemon and mint helps in refreshing and boosting your immune system and gets rid of all the harmful toxin in the body.
